PhD Candidate in Epidemiology
Juwel serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the McGill Journal of Global Health. He has previously held leadership positions, including General Secretary of the McGill Bangladesh Graduate Student Society (BGSS) and as a member of the Editorial Board for the McGill Tribune. Dedicated to advancing research in Bangladesh, he founded the Bangladesh Longitudinal Child-Adolescent Development, Education, and Environment Study (BLADES), which has been following approximately 2,000 households from Dhaka slums and Boropukuria coal mine settlers in Dinajpur since 2021.
Outside of his academic work, Juwel enjoys traveling, community engagement, swimming, and salsa dancing to maintain a balanced lifestyle.
